Hello. My name is Jennifer. Many also call me Jelly; either name is fine with me.

I am a model, a term I can proudly say without quotation marks as of 7/16/09, not a photographer. I produce amateur stock here on DA for fun, with a lightbulb, bedsheet, and a 7 mb digital camera's autotimer. I don't get the best lighting or shots all the time, but it's all for fun, so don't scrutinize [: I work to see what others can make out of my work, to practice posing and acting, to dress and pretty up, and of course, just because I love pictures...of myself. c:

My goal as a model is more than just a self-absorbed craze, however. I set myself on a modeling track shortly after becoming active as an artist on DA. It was a time of life-turning events and inevitably, my view of myself changed too. Like many teenagers, I suffer from a rollercoaster of self-esteem, but I like to think I’m unique in how I deal with it. That summer, I decided that to settle this battle once and for all, I’d model. Anywhere, for anything, just to prove something to myself, if not anyone else.

Modeling/stock is, I feel, an art form in itself, and that is what I am all about! I highly doubt you’ve also stumbled across my art account, , unless you came from there, so check it out if you want. I am geared towards a career in the graphic arts, with modeling on the side to make my way to the top. As in all art forms, the artist strives to define his or herself in the product. There are a few things that I try to prove or define in my work. Firstly, I am aware I do not have the face or body of a celebrity. I have my up and down days in the mirror, but the fact of the matter is the world does not completely revolve around those who’ve won the genetic lottery. With the right incentive, a perfectly average person can make it among the top. In addition, I take pride in natural beauty. I use little to no makeup, though I know how to tango with it. I almost despise makeup, yet the art form is intriguing to me and I always find fun in applying it temporarily for a shoot.

Who I am not: I absolutely hate those girls who are all insecure and then fish for compliments by shouting OMG I’M SO UGLY so that people will tell them they’re not. No matter how many times they hear ‘olol ur pretty’ they still have a self esteem issue. It’s all about self acceptance, not how many people are attracted to what features one inherits. So no matter how many times one says it, how sincerely one attempts to compose it, it is an issue that the individual has to solve his or herself. Happiness and satisfaction is merely a state of mind.

Things I like to accentuate:
Height. 5'1" Baby. In and out of the modeling world, I love being short. They call Kate Moss at 5'7" short, I'll beat that. Lady Gaga, though not my hero/idol, poses at 5'1", and my does she photograph gorgeously.

Ethnicity. Oh how I love being Asian. I'm pretty white washed and not very "AZN PRIDE YO" but there are parts of Asian culture I will always appreciate.

Eyes. I don't have really small, slanty eyes. And I'd like to keep it that way. I also think people should realize brown can be a lovely color, despite my retaliation to "you have such pretty eyes" being "mmm, the color of poop."

The work I do;;

As far as stock/requests go, I am flattered by all requests. However...

-I will not do nudes/fetishes, for obvious reasons.

-I will not do blood and gore. I'll pose and you can edit in blood, but I'm not going to go formulate my own mixture of blood and shiz and then slather myself in it.

-I will do only very selective shoots involving sensitive material (eg feet, death, etc. etc.). I'm generally looking to be in conceptual, emotive, or character portrayal works, but manipulate my head off and put dancing elves all over and I'll still appreciate your work [:

As far as non-stock model work goes, if you're a photographer in the Everett area or willing to pay for the commute, I am willing to work! You can also find me on modelmayhem [link] and bemodel [link] All I require is a portfolio/example of work from you, and an escort of my choice (it is likely to be my mother or boyfriend; I am conducted highly professionally, and I bring who I bring for safety purposes, not entertainment or distraction).
